We recently returned from camping at Ft.Pickens, had never camped there and really enjoyed it. The area is beautiful! Also, our favorites are Henderson Beach and Topsail Hill. Have fun, we try to camp at the beach once a year, and we love those gulf area campgrounds.

If lookiing at Myrtle Beach area, it will be difficult on this short notice. You might consider Huntington Beach State Park, or Myrtle Beach State Park. What ever you do, drive safe and have a great time!

For the TRUE beach experience, forgo the campground and camp ON the beach. Most anywhere on the Texas coast would be a good place for it.

Michgan has many state parks on beautiful fresh water oceans. If you like sand, the Lake Michigan coast is one long sandy beach.

Henderson Bch SP in Destin, Fl has a very nice CG and it is a short walk through the dunes on a boardwalk to the beach

Kidding right? Hundreds of thousands of RVs stay on the ocean Every year with no harmful effects. It's not like it's going to rust away on the way home. Well any more than the TV will.

Cape Hatteras could be an option too, there is Ocean Waves, Camp Hatteras, and KOA, all 3 are right on the beach just behind the dunes with direct pedestrian access to the beach. National Park Service has a few campgrounds on the beach too, but those are dry camping...

Absolutely agree Terryallan. I would add...what about the people who live near the ocean? Maybe like myself before just moving away from the Oregon coast. My cars have not rusted away... actually, my TT was stored less than 3 blocks from the OR coast and talk about wind and salt spray. No ill effects from living there for 9 years. Certainly, a few weeks is nothing.

Being a block away from the beach will be no different than being on the beach.

Oh no! Our TT is stored at the beach...it's gonna rust away... :( Actually their storage lot is a good 1/4 mile from the water, maybe it will be ok. But I don't know about that 2 weeks I go coming up for camping there. lol
