Best campgrounds in Glacier Nat. Park that allow gennys

We are planning on visiting Glacier National Park in July and would like to hear from those that have stayed in the park campgrounds. Based on what I've seen, the park has 13 campgrounds, with som...

"If you are going to St. Mary from Browning, MT, take Montana 464 north. It will run into US 89 north of St Mary, so you would turn right on to US 89. That is a much better route than driving US 89 from Browning to St Mary."
Better route because? Road condition or scenery??
