I'm glad you asked. Made me see that I had posted "turn right" when its a left turn.
US 89 is more scenic than Montana 464 and is shorter. Those are the only things it has going for it.

US 89 is curvy, hilly and has a 6% grade going down into St Mary. Montana 464 is a well maintained, straight road that is more in the plains. Both go through the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. Before we learned about 464, we use to travel US 89. One would see loose cows along the road and traffic would back up behind motorhomes.
