Hi hunter_rv,
Yes, there are several ways to power the 120 volt outlets from an inverter.
My choice was to add a female plug in the cord storage box that is powered by the inverter.
I set the fridge and water heater to propane, then unplug the converter.
Then I plug in the shore power cord to the outlet and turn on the inverter.
Choice of inverter size should be 125% of the highest load you expect to use.
I'd recommend a pure sine wave inverter.
The above is the cheapest way to accomplish what you want to do.
