If it were me, I would look at something like Roy Ken has since you have a truck. If you don't have a topper for the truck, I would add one and carry most of your gear there. If you were just you and wife, then I would go with Brian Brawdy's set up. But be prepared for deep pockets. Lol
Other than that, if you could find a class c with enough clearance off the ground and in the shorter range (24'), don't knock it. We went from a 31' (35' overall length) quad bunk TT to a class c that is 31' inside with an over all length of 32'. What a difference. You don't think 3' makes a difference, but it does and it was unusable space. We no longer have to have the super crew f250 to also try to park. With something like a 24' you can easily drive it around to wherever you need and it's not much longer than a super crew truck. You can also elect to tow a smaller car or a flat trailer with toys. For us, going this route made more sense for us. We have one kid and the queen bed over the cab is heaven to her. 8' of space in back of the TT with 4 bunks was a waste.
And FWIW, if you are looking at something like a toy hauler, then be prepared of the price tags. When we looked at them, they were more than what our class c was.
