And at what cost for it and the methanol fuel?
We're only part-time campers who like all of our conveniences out in the middle of nowhere in any weather (we're rockhounds), and sometimes in very pristine camping spots where it looks like "the rules" may now unfortunately prohibit even idling of our main engine that for all practical purposes makes no noise at all. The exhaust from the main gasoline powered catalytic converter equipped engine never bothers us inside and we strive to never have to park so close to anyone as for it to bother them. Now idling a diesel ... that's a whole different discussion.
I don't recall the cost of ultra-purified EFOY fuel cell methanol shipped and carried in an RV via convenient white plastic containers. I remember checking a long time ago and it wasn't cheap, but the containers last 10-14 days keeping your batteries continuously and automatically topped up anytime anywhere. To us part-timers it doesn't matter "what the methanol costs" for the peace of mind that the fuel cell brings under all camping conditions.
I guess full-timers would want solar and the sun-parking that is required for it. If I used solar, it would be via portable panels that I could place in the sun aways from the RV whenever the RV was parked in the shade.
