Best KOA in New Hampshire?

Glad you liked it. We will be heading to Woodstock this Labor Day weekend for the 3rd time in 4 years. We always enjoy the campground and the area.

Not sure if anyone remembers helping me with this--but we finally made it to New Hampshire and had a blast. We ended up staying at both the Woodstock KOA and the Twin Mountain KOA--here is our review of Woodstock. Thanks for everyones suggestions way back when...

Haven't been to the KOA's but I can fully understand why Danforth Bay has it's #1 rating. It's a top-notch facility. My estimation it would be more than any of the KOAs, especially if you are a KOA member. It's a little further away from the White Mountains but they are still easily accessible.

Go for it. As mentioned, two entirely different environments. I'd rather do that and spend less of the precious vacation time driving and more time camping.

There is 57 miles between them and a mountain range too. Nice ride! Two different worlds of camping styles.

Danforth Bay is right down the street from Chocoura KOA, and a lot better. Biggger sites, two heated pools and a kiddie pool. Full activity schedule, and a great staff of people that work at the resort. The lake is great for boating or kayaking and connects to the Ossipee Lake system.

Coming all the way from New Jersey with kids, for most families, Danforth Bay is a better choice. We have friends from South Amboy, New Jersey that camp for 10 days every summer at Danforth Bay.

As for Beaver Hollow, also down the street, hardly a worthwhile comparison, fun I am sure, but categorically, no where near as good as Danforth Bay.

The answer is "no", it's no further than Chocorua KOA. Danforth Bay is on a back road that run parallel with Rt. 16. Danforth Bay is rated as NH #1 CG, but for the life of me,I can't see how that can be... I wonder who's doing the rating... I know they claim it's the campers doing the rating... But, can this be the same CG I stayed at??? Must be just me since everyone else loves this place.

If I'm staying in that area, it's Beaver Hollow for me, this place is so hokey that it's just downright fun to stay at.

Danforth Bay does look awesome but a bit further away from white mountains, no?
