Sure is... as with all lakes in NH, "crystal clear water". But then so are the rivers. Yaking down the Pemi (Pemigewasset River at the Lincoln/Woodstock KOA) is real fun. The outfitters will take you up river 4-6 or 8 miles and drop you off and pick you up at the end. I did the run last year (4 of us for the 6 mile) we had our own yaks and they charged us $10 each. Two others in our group rented a double yak for $40 all inclusive. The river was warm, clear and low we stopped for swimming several times and lunch break on one of the sandbars.
The year before we did the Saco River out of North Conway (just up the road from Chocora KOA). It's also a great river to Yak or tube down, SacoBound is a the best outfitter there. (personally, this is a better river run)
