Best place to camp in piegon forge TN Will be first time

I think we have stayed at most of them over the years. Anchor Down is very nice but I hate the traffic trying to get back and forth to PF and the attractions. It can be horrible. Stayed at River Plantation several times and like it also but traffic can be bad also. Pine Mountain has everything you need and is right in the middle of it all with no traffic problems.

We just made reservations for Anchor Down for 10 days Oct. 20-30. It looks really nice. You might give their website a look and read reviews on rvparkreviews.

Also look into Anchor Down if you want to stay a little out of town with great views of Douglas Lake, but is a tad expensive.

Pigeon Forge has changed a lot since Dolly Partin arrived. It used to be a wide spot in the road with stores that sold cheap, imprinted souvenirs. A friend of mine lived in Gatlinburg, and he called it "Pigeon Fleece".
There are hotels, CGs, restaurants and stage entertainment now.

I will also suggest Pine Mountain RV Park. It is behind a knoll, but just off the parkway so you don't get the noise, it has indoor and outdoor pools, FHU, no playground (but that's ok), right in the center of things, good WIFI, quick access to Dollywood, Gatlinburg or shopping in PF. It, along with most all parks in PF, is on the trolley line so you don't have to drive if you don't want to.

It's our fave and we have stayed at most of them.
