Wherever you advertise it you will almost definitely get emails, offering full price plus extra money to pay a delivery service that will pick it up for them. This was just one of the scams I encountered when I had my old fiver up for sale. Usually, the first give away is that they say that they trust you and that your price is fair. They will gladly send you a (bogus) cashiers check.
The English in the communication will usually have a few errors that give them away.
I strung a couple of them along to see how far they would go. Then told them it would be a month before I could confirm the authenticity of their check. The word, "authenticity", threw them for a loop.
I have fun with these idiots.
I'll string all of them along for a long time.
I've gotten cashiers checks & business checks with no routing or account numbers.:)
To stay on topic though. I bought my current MH at PPL in Houston. I tried for a month to sell my 2000 Southwind myself. I didn't get any calls (except the scams). I drove it to PPL in Houston, they sold it the first weekend it was there. I got just exactly what I needed/wanted for it. - janedoe4955ExplorerThanks for weighing in everyone. I've always had good luck with Craigslist--have sold thousands of dollars worth of stuff there in the past. So I put it on CL and RVT; good photos, long and thorough description, priced a little higher than my bottom line. Sold in 2 days close to asking price. On to the next adventure!
- NanciLExplorer IIWe sold ours 25 footer last month on Craigs list.
The second people that looked at it bought it for $200 less than I had it listed for.
The trailer was in perfect condition and they recognized it. We have had several calls from them since telling us how happy they are with it

I'm still getting calls from those idiots that want to sell it for me even though the ad has been off the sites for 2 weeks.
Fre - NolanExplorerIt takes a long time when I sell stuff. So be ready for that. Took over 4 years to sell our motorcycles. Our truck and trailer have been for sale since August 2016. Very little interest. Be ready for a long wait. Be ready for scams, be ready for people who say they will show up to look at it and don't. Some people can sell their stuff in an hour or so, me it takes years.
- B_O__PlentyExplorer III have never had any luck trying to sell it myself. A lot of people will buy new because they can finance them easily and for a long term. I have traded my last two in and got a lot less for them than I wanted, but they're gone. I think you can sell anything if the price is low enough..So the real question is: How little are you willing to take? It won't be anywhere near what you think it's worth no matter where you try to sell it..
B.O. - 2gypsies1Explorer IIIWe drove ours to PPL consignment in Houston and it sold within a month. There's a lot of RVer looking that comes through that area going or returning from their winter traffic. We got what we asked for it. We made it our final trip. :(
- janedoe4955ExplorerThanks for all the great advice!
- darsben1ExplorerAs you know AZ has tons of RV's both new and used for sale. You may get a lot less than you think for the rig.
Lots of people come down and then buy a park model or stick and brick.
So price it right and let it go. You still keep the memories
