I've been to all of them except Wekiwa. But there was a thread about that park where a lot of people said it was excellent. Paynes Prairie tho is a mystery. It sounds good if you read about it, they have a Buffalo herd for example. But the rangers keep them animals off in a distant part of the park well away from any visitors. So that's why I think these surveys are someone reading park blurbs but never having camped or spent much time at the park.
Bahia Honda is the number one park in the state based on the number of people here asking how to get a campsite. And I've camped there and spent other time there too, it's a excellent park. John Pennecamp is undoubtedly good-if you have a boat and can get out and snorkel or scuba dive. But for people driving in, it's nothing much to be seen. They have one short boardwalk trail, a campground and boat ramps. And that's about it. You can swim, snorkel and dive right off the beaches at Bahia Honda. Plus they have a boat that runs people out on the reefs for snorkeling and diving. They may have a boat at Pennecamp, I don't know one way or the other.
