We've always stayed at Rio Grande Village campground (not the RV park next door) or Cottonwood. The main park roads are terrific - no drop-offs or twisties - mainly open vistas. Hiking is awesome in that park. We were last there the first week of November and the bright yellow cottonwoods were gorgeous against the bright blue sky. It's a very special park. Enjoy!
