Going to Big Bend. Where do I need to stay and what to see. Coming from East of Houston

The Chisos Mountain Lodge has motel units (and a couple of cabins) but it is 31 miles from the Rio Grande Village campground (Your rig is too long to go up to the Chisos campground). There is a motel/campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in Study Butte at the west park entrance (Intersection of Hwy 118 & Hwy 170).
