I've been up there several times, but never with the TT. That road is one winding road straight up the mountain. I saw a MH go up there once but they seemed to be struggling. I was behind them and I can't tell you how happy I was with they turned off! You're welcome to try it, of course. Personally, I think Tallulah Gorge SP is nicer. It's probably about 20min south of Dillard, GA.
If you are at all interested in the Foxfire books or early mountain living, I'd highly suggest seeing the Foxfire museum. It is up the same road as Black Mountain SP. There is a left turn just before you get to the SP. Well worth the time spent, IMO. There are 16 buildings brought there from GA, NC, and TN. You can either hike the whole loop or take your car up to the top and drive down. We drove since my knees are shot. It's very hilly mountainous terrain.
