Wish I could help you but the last time I camped there was before cell phones :) The place is very nice, they were cutting down a lot of pine trees which were killed by those pine beetles. But like I said that was like 12 years ago. Be sure to ride the train.

We drove through it last spring after we did the train ride in Stearns. It was a pit. There was no shade at all except on some of the perimeter sites and they were just so so. We didn't check out the bath house. My sprint phone didnt work there. I wouldn't ever stay there because we like shady big sites that aren't stacked on each other. Some might like the open field though
