Nearly 10 years after our experience at this park we are still shaking our heads in amazement. We went in June on our way to CA and I was told that it was so popular that we would have to have reservations. I made them, at least six weeks in advance. The afternoon that we arrived there was nobody there. All but three campsites were empty and no staff anywhere. Our designated site had a broken electrical pole so we chose another one. There had been a fish kill on the very low lake and the place smelled to high heaven. We spent the night and moved on the next day. I'm sure this was a rare situation (at least I hope it was) but we haven't been willing to try it again. Good luck. lizzie
