We're currently near Lamar, CO. And we will be traveling across southern CO to 4 corners, then over to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, then on to Kingman, AZ.We like to do a mix of CGs and boondocking. Maybe a dry camp if needed. We usually sit for a week, then drive 3 hours to the next spot. But all is flexible. Crossing the Navajo Reservation may require a 4 hour drive unless dry camping/boondocking is allowed.Any suggestions?

Roosevelt lake pull down to the waters edge and dream. been there done it a few times no problems.

I assume you are referring to the lake near Globe, AZ. That is on next year's schedule.

That's why I'm asking if anybody knows, especially from first hand experience. There is a grocery chain store in Kayenta where dry camping might be allowed.
Indian Casinos allow but it's always best to ask first.

Do you mean north of Williams? There are many FS campss right outside the GCNP gate, or actually just outside that little town there.

If you are going near Alamosa there is BLM land west of Great Sand Dunes and a strange ex-Colorado State Park there with free power, no water.Great spot but requires a CO Fishing permit.

There is FS land all along the highway to Cortez.
