Boondock sites in southern CO and northern AZ

We're currently near Lamar, CO. And we will be traveling across southern CO to 4 corners, then over to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, then on to Kingman, AZ.
We like to do a mix of CGs and boondocking. Maybe a dry camp if needed.
We usually sit for a week, then drive 3 hours to the next spot. But all is flexible. Crossing the Navajo Reservation may require a 4 hour drive unless dry camping/boondocking is allowed.
Any suggestions?
  • I assume you are referring to the lake near Globe, AZ. That is on next year's schedule.
  • Roosevelt lake pull down to the waters edge and dream. been there done it a few times no problems.
  • The areas south of Williams are Forest Service land and there are many beautiful campsites available.

Here is the camping page for the reservation... https://discovernavajo.com/camping/
