How often you might have to empty tanks - however you choose to do it - also depends upon what tank needs emptying first - the black tank or the grey tank,
Many times your grey tank will fill faster than your black tank, as is the case with our RV. So when our grey tank is full, we just off-load some of it's contents into our still-not-full black tank. This reduces the frequency of dump trips.
By the way, our travel companions pull a 21 foot Escape TT and it seems to be an excellent TT. For what it's worth, your 5.0TA Escape 5'er just may be the smallest 5'er currently available.
