Thanks for the sub! You'd be amazed at how many Class A motorhomes I encounter out there.
Boondocking on public lands in the West was always our first choice. We did it successfully with our 40' motorhome. The desert areas aren't sandy as you might expect - for the most part. If you're unsure about a road, park along the highway or in a nearby lot and disconnect your towed vehicle and scout it out first. Find your spot then come back for the motorhome.
