Border closings
It is likely that Canada will not reopen the border. It is also quite possible it will not reopen for about 6 months. Not good news. Latest polls show most Canadians do not want it to reopen

We really do not want to be trapped up here for the winter. Our hospitals are already at catastrophic overflow (huge waits across all hospitals in Quebec, as I type). For us, our particular Florida destination will be a much safer place this winter, case and health-care wise compared with our horrible collapsed health care system, here (just check our covid stats and track record). Caveat: traveling, of course, under a covid inclusive travel insurance, and practicing hard distancing/mask behavior.

You spoke of a very old mutual agreement. There must be something in print with a full description of the agreement. You should provide a link . Where did you hear of that agreement?

Without a link to that document it is just a rumor

So are you talking about a one way opening? Canadians can come for extended vacations in the US but US citizens can’t vacation in Canada? I think you would need to make it more like US citizens going to Alaska, if a Canadian wants to snowbird they must reach their destination in four days and NO dawdling. :b
