I don't spend much time north of Boston, so would recommend Normandy Farms. Probably the best resort in the area, but maybe more than you're after. Super clean, large sites, not cheap. 5 minute ride to the train station in Mansfield, but I might suggest driving to the Quincy train station for a much more frequent schedule into South Station. Less pre-planning required! Foxboro to Quincy is a 15 min easy ride.
Actually more like at least 25 mins, not counting actual departure and arrival points, except during rush hour when anything goes.
