- skramsExplorerGood to know! Thanks all.
- ryegatevtExplorer IIDitto the Cape comments for Bar Harbor. We've been camping in Bar Harbor for the last 8 Septembers - in fact we just returned. Crowds are absent, traffic is light, and if shops and restaurants close for the winter it's usually on Columbus Day. The magnificent scenery is there all year!
- Ed_CExplorerJust like the others say September and October are the best months on the Cape.
- Dick_BExplorerSearch this Forum for each location for lots of info.
- CroweExplorerBEST time of year to be up here. Crowds are gone, weather is usually near perfect, and kids are back in school. Almost everything stays open until at least Columbus Day weekend. It's also apple picking and the start of fair season that time of year.
- jplante4Explorer IICape Cod in Sept and Oct is what we live for here. When we're sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on Route 6 in July, our chant is "October is only 3 months away".
- jfkmkExplorer IIWe went to Boston and Cape Cod in September and loved it. Especially a Cape Cod. I've never been there in the summer but hear it's a horror show with the traffic. Not so in September. You can go to any beach for free yet everything is still open.
