- TomG2ExplorerSome real bargains in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, at least in the Alamo area. Two or three times the usual number of units on the market for this time of year. Forty eight rainy degrees today, so there might be some more "For Sale" up this week.
- mayo30ExplorerNot anymore with the Canadian dollar exchange rate and extended stay regulations.Pretty sure the Canadian buyers are going to become less active. The other mitigating factors are more snowbird Canadians are aging into very expensive medical insurance, and the younger group are not very interested in that style of living. They want to see the world and more exotic places then as was put to me "sit in the desert"every winter.

Anyone see any exceptional deals on park models, pads with casitas or such?
The kind of deal you said, 'boy, if I were ready to get one...'
The state doesn't matter..

Yes, that's why we bought ours last October. We're in Mesa AZ. Next door neighbors just sold theirs.
Barb - I second what TomG2 said. Lots of lots, both RV and ones with park models on them down here in the Rio Grande Valley. Cheap living.
Dale - rockhillmanorExplorerLast year there were so many foreclosures in Florida I bought a 3 bedroom/2 bath block house on 2 acres for less than the price of a new pickup just for my MH during the winter months! Ahhh no more being parked in like sardines in a CG for us anymore! :C
The real estate market has tightened up and far less foreclosures available up since then regarding houses, but you can still buy a park model with a car port big enough to park the MH next to it on a sizable lot for dirt cheap. For far far less than buying one in a RV resort. - bjbearExplorerSome good deals in Canyon Vistas RV Resort which include 3 years free rent. Nice active park

Was there last month for the third year. Didn't think there were any deals. Just can't wrap my arms around not owning the dirt the house is on. Lots of grumbling from current owners about CalAm undercutting with free rent and bottom line units. - tobanExplorerI agree, there are no deals at Canyon Vistas/Cal-AM and lots of grumblings going on. The 3 year free rent is over a 5 year period.
