Branchs of Niagara and the Falls

Just a couple of days here at Niagara because I've never been and we were just 2 hours away. Well after the stops at the Seneca Lake wineries, it was more like 4 hours.

There are several choices for campgrounds in the area, so we picked the one with the highest rating on RV Park Reviews. Ran into LifeRebooted at Clute Park and they stayed at Four Mile Cree and loved it.

Branches is a beautiful RV Park. It's actually landscaped. There are about 80 sites and none too close to the neighbor. They're doing quite a bit of construction putting in new roads and sites, so the daytime hours are noisy. It's a little on the pricey side ($77 a night) but well worth it.

Speaking of construction, the American side of the Falls is under construction as well. Terapin Point which gets you down to the spit of land between Horseshoe Falls and American Falls is closed, as is the Top of the Falls restaurant. Enterprise in Niagara Falls will come pick you up here, but they only make the run at 11 am or 4 pm.

Didn't make it to the Canadian side. The view would have been better. Saving something for next time.

  • We stayed at Branches back when they first opened and their prices were still reasonable. It's a nice enough park, but now we much prefer 4 Mile Creek SP where $21 a night buys a fantastic view of Lake Ontario and includes entry to Niagara Falls and the other state parks in the area.

We have stayed there a couple of times - better and cheaper than the KOA.

Not sure I just stayed at the KOA 2 weeks ago and it was 71.56 per night or the same as the other campground. We liked the koa and our price included our upgrade to a patio site

  • We stayed at the Niagara Falls KOA nice place. If you go back and enjoy wine there are some great vineyards on the Canada side. We visited one called the Pillars which has a great restaurant with a wine pairing menu it is at Niagara on the lake.
