Branson--2015--March-April get-togethers?

We are planning a trip through Branson March or April 2015. I would appreciate any information on rallies, etc including fun shows u recommend. We've never been there. We love country music, comedy etc. also good rv parks. We're good Sam and passport America members. Thanks folks. Mark
  • We like Table Rock State Park, campground #2. Been there twice and will visit them again. We also enjoyed the performance of "SIX". There are a lot of good shows that will meet what you mentioned.
  • Log on to the Branson website and request a travel guide. That'll have everything in it. I really liked the pierced arrow and yakov myself. The Dixie Stampede wasn't too bad either. We normally camp at the Wilderness campground and take the shuttle to SDC but there are tons of nice places to camp in Branson.
  • The Branson Stage Coach RV Park, they have free shuttle to anywhere in the city and can get you discount tickets to any show in town. Very nice people we hosted the 2013 Midwest Truck Camper Christmas Party there and will be hosting another one there this year.

Places I would recommend, Table Rock Dam has a museum that is free and the fish hatchery at the base of the dam is free as well. I would recommend to ride the Ducks, I would recommend the Hugh Brothers show. Shepard of the Hills play and or chuck wagon dinner show.

Might check, Branson shuts down December 31- much of winter, can't remember when it reopens in spring. Recommend Collage of the Ozarks, inexpensive museum, excellent music and or play if any thing on their schedule, usually free.

    Hope this helps.
  • I also give Stagecoach RV a vote, passport america and the little restaurant had some good breakfast.
  • Silver Dollar City has alot of good shows. We went to the Bluegrass and Barbecue in May of 2011. With advice from a dear friend we purchased a season pass, even though we knew we wouldn't be back after that. It paid for itself the first 2 days! We stayed at the Silver Dollar City affiliated campground for the month and because we had season passes and were staying the month we got a good discount. They provide transportation to and from Silver Dollar City. We and our friends toured the rest of Branson but didn't see any other shows. BTW if you like Bluegrass and they are in town check out The Cleverlys, they are great musicians but are comedy too!
