Looking for everyones thoughts on campgrounds in or near Branson. Thinking we will go in June. We are traveling with a 38 ft 5th wheel

(EDIT: Corrected the spelling of the topic title from "Bransom" to "Branson".)

Since that has also been our favorite for four different trips, we would be interested to know what changes have been made...pricing, management, what? BTW we saw 16 shows in one week during November Christmas show season a couple of years back - what a whirlwind!!! :B

If your a Pass Port America member like us we used Stage Coach Campground and they gave us the half price rate for 7 nights, not a fancy place, a little on the small side but we had full hook ups, 50amp, with cable in a pull thru site. A short ride from all the tourist things but for the price we couldn't complain.

Love he place don't recall the route to town but there was a 19% down, we did it w/o the 5W.

  • I don't think(as of two years ago) that the traffic was anything like it was back in the day, say 20 year's ago, even 10 years ago. There are still some short-cuts you can take to get you where your going quicker but all in all, for those 20+ shows we saw, it was never an issue.
  • it has been back in the 90's since we've been there. is the traffic through town still slower then walking speed?
  • We did Branson Shennigans. It's a little, let's say, challenging. The park is terraced into the side of a hill. You look down on your neighbor's roof.

We did a scenic train ride

and noticed the campground down by the lake that looked pretty nice - Branson Lakeside. Close to the old downtown but a trek to the strip.

If you have a toad, I'd do Table Rock SP and drive into Branson for the attractions.

  • Lot's of good choices and lots of locations. We've been staying at Musicland Kampground the last several years. Just behind Titanic off Hwy. 76. America's Best is also a good choice and highly rated. It's been several years ago, but the Wilderness that's associated with Silver Dollar City was nice.
  • I use to suggest Ozark Country Campground but the new owners have changed things up and I won't be going back! With that being said, I have been researching myself for another long term stay (1 month) because we Love Branson. Two years ago we did a month and went to 23 shows in 30 days...crazy, I know!!!

Show suggestions, I can give but always start your show browsing with that Purple building on the main drag(two for One show tickets)…..and as far as I'm concerned, there are No bad shows in Branson!!! Have a Great Time....send me a PM and I can make show idea's.
