Branson
We are flying to Branson for 10 days at the end of April. Not a camping trip; staying in a condo. Aside from all the shows, etc. we are seeking info on scenic drives to day trips within a few hours...

Drive 160 east from downtown Branson to Hwy. 125 south. You take a free ferry across the lake then take Hwy. 14 west back to 65. Probably a half day trip but scenic.
If you need a longer trip drive down to Jasper. The Ozark Cafe downtown is a very good place to stop. South of Jasper on Hwy 7 just a few miles is a viewing tower overlooking the Buffalo River Valley.
West of Jasper is a herd of Elk that can be viewed from the road most evenings.
