We love Davidson River. Cradle of Forestry is awesome, the falls, Blue Ridge Parkway to name few. We camped for a week and found a lot to do in the area. Dolly's ice cream and Hog Wild BBQ are must do

Check out the white squirrels!!!!

Brevard is cool area, Pisgah Natl forest area!

Also look up Dupont Forest, hiking, Mtn Biking, lots of waterfalls.

Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Falls, Cradle of Forestry and going tubing.

Dupont -Hunger games filmed parts there, alos Last of Mohicans.

Camping wise:

Davidson River is excellent (although 4th weeekend looks booked).

Brevard is in Transylvania County and is home to numerous beautiful waterfalls. We were in that area a few years ago. The best thing I can recommend is to go to this website: www.visitwaterfalls.com

We were staying in Maggie Valley, but took some day trips to the Brevard area, so I am not familiar with RV parks there, but I feel sure the website has some listed.
