Don't miss Savannah - you will be so close! Skidaway State Park is close, but the closest RV park is Red Gate Farm RV Park. $10 Uber ride to Bay Street in Savannah (where you want to go!) So much to see and do! GREAT restaurants too, our favorite is The Pink House. Check out St Bonaventure's Cemetery. We also love Charleston as well. So much history. If you go there, take a carriage ride! Visit the market place in the center of the historic area. Don't forget to go to visitors center and take boat to Ft. Sumter. Great walking tours available too! About 2 hours of leisurely walk with great guides available. Been on several, but the best was led by ED Grimball. Prices are all just about the same but he is native born and LOVES his city! So knowledgeable and perfect pace for us (both over 65!) We stay at Oak Plantation RV Park (south of the city) and Charleston/Mt Pleasant KOA north of Charleston. Also in Mt. Pleasant is Patriot's Point, WW II Naval Museum with ships to tour.
Don't miss Ashville if you get anywhere close! Combination college town/tourist area/history destination. Biltmore is incredible, and it may be the BrewPub capital of the country. Whole Black Mountain region is awesome. Numerous RV Parks there. We have stayed at a park in Rutledge, just south of Ashville.
