Bucket List - Maine
The purpose of this bucket list meme is to list best places to go by state. Along the way, we can affirm our favorites and perhaps learn of some new places to go.
For Maine, my recommendations include:
Seaview campground in Eastport. Along the shores of Passamaquoddy Bay with wonderful sunrise views across to Canada's Campobello Island. Sunrise at West Quoddy Head, Lubec, Maine. The bold coast. Whale & Eagle watching. And the Old Sow whirlpool. Go in September for the popular Pirates festival.
Acadia National Park on Mt Desert Island. Sunrise on Cadillace Mountain. Fresh Lobsters over on the quiet side at Bass Harbor.
Western Maine mountains, either Cupsuptic Campgroud in Oqussoc/Rangeley or Cathedral Pines in Eustis.
