I camped at
Niagara Falls Campground 6-7 years ago while meeting friends to visit the Falls. It was expensive back then and outrageous today. But, it was a place to park and convenient to the Falls. I've also stayed on Grand Island at the cost of an arm and a leg.
In subsequent visits to the Buffalo area, I've stayed at
Sheridan's city park on Hwy 5 between Silver Creek and Dunkirk and also
Four Mile Creek SP. Both are a 45-50 min. drive to Buffalo, but the price and ambiance is so much better. I will say that Sheridan City park was getting real long in the tooth; mostly 20 amp service (limited 30 amp) and the bath house was very old. It's location on the lake along with it's lower $16/night price was the draw at that time.
