Bumper to bumper RV's Leaving

Took a day trip to South Padre Island March 1 and bumper to bumper RV's Leaving the Island. Trying to get out ahead of spring break I suppose. Was very surprised at the huge number leaving all at once.
  • I hope they're not coming to Pennsylvania. It's snowing, again.
  • There are many seasonal lodgings that rent by the calendar month. That means time is up after February 28th with departure March 1 with a new crop arriving that afternoon.
  • I bet not many are coming to Wisconsin. It is getting down to -10 tonight with wind chills of -25. We still have about 2 ft of sow on the ground. Today I shoveled a path to my TT and sat down in it for about 10 minutes. 5 degree temps limited the stay because I didn't feel like turning on the heat.
  • Probably headed to Florida to salvage whatever they can of their winter respite.
  • This park near McAllen, Texas has seen a few taillights this past weekend, but some have extended for another month too.
  • I would recommend that they not come north yet, winter is still in full force here in Iowa with more snow in the forecast! :(

Very normal. RV’s can not be left year round on SPI making for a mobile community. Also rent on SPI is higher then most to extremely expensive. If trying to save money the valley will be slicing their prices right about now trying to get the last fleeting RV dollars.

A mobile RVer needs to be settled prior to spring break in many places in Texas, just not the MTV known areas. Hill County will be booked as will as most the coastline. Spring break comes in many forms just not barfing frat boys.
