I'd like to have pull thrus for my "overnite" stops or
Walmart, Casino etc. so I don't have to unhook toad.
Senior National Parks Pass so I should be able to get discounts as I will be off season.
Drove US 380 - Carrizozo-Roswell / US 70 Roswell-Alamagordo / US 82 Alamagordo-Cloudcroft this past week.
Take US 70.
Casino - Inn of the Mountain Gods just west of Ruidoso has a parking lot type RV park. Most RV parks in Ruidoso (we looked at almost all of them) will require unhooking the toad.
A few miles north of Tularose where US 70 meets US 54 north of Alamogordo - is Three Rivers and the BLM Three Rivers Petroglyphs Site. It has two 50 Amp pull thru RV sites $9 for the Senior Pass. (no sewer connections or dump station but the on-site host can point you to a close by free dump station)

Currently a lot of the RV parks across south and west Texas are full of oil-field workers. Even places along I-10 across Texas west of SA are difficult to find. And there are very few Walmarts along that route. One nighters at truck stops might be easier.
