Calgary, Canada campsites

Looking for an RV campsite recommendation for Calgary, Canada. We have a 30 foot 5er and full hookups is a must. Thanks in advance.

  • Bow valley provincial park is a very nice cg. It's between Calgary and Banff
  • Hi... I live in South-West Calgary and have visited this park many times. http://www.aspencrossing.com/
It's about 45minutes from my home, has full hookups, is nice and quiet, has a unique restaurant and Garden Center/Gift Shop, and I highly recommend it. (Actually, wife and I have considered leasing one of their seasonal sites).
Check out their website for more info. I don't think you'd be disappointed if you stayed there.
Have a great time visiting Calgary. I originated from Ontario, but moved here 10 years ago and I love it... have no desire to move back.

    Take care...
  • Thanks for the suggestions. We don't have to be in Calgary. We just wanted to visit Calgary and Banff.
  • Depends when you want to come here.
I live in Calgary and right now most everything is closed for the winter. A lot of places including government campgrounds open up in May. Most close up for the winter around the beginning of October.
I'm north of Calgary right now wworking.out of town and had to make alternate arrangements for parking my TT as everything.is closed.
  • Calgary West is about the best in Calgary and Cochrane is another 20 minutes farther west. We stayed at Calgary West for two weeks this last July for the Stampede. It is an old KOA that has had additional sites added and they are side-by-side with units going the opposite direction. You can see pictures of our site here if you like. Just imagine another unit on our driver side going the opposite direction which was the case for most of the two weeks. It may not be a problem outside of Stampede time. Also these are the only sites you are guaranteed a 30 amp connection. They have some back in sites that are much larger but two sites share a post that has a 20 amp and a 30 amp connection. First one there gets the 30 amp! We shared our post as well but it had two 30 amp connections. We were able to get usable WiFi from our site but it was really slow when everyone was on it but they do have a WiFi lounge over the office that has pretty good WiFi. If you are going to the Stampede they have buses that run roundtrip to the Stampede grounds for each event. You should be making reservations in the very near future if you want a guaranteed 30 amp connection!
  • We were in Calgary West last summer for four or five nights. It was perfect, we booked early and had a site with a super view. It was easy access to Costco, downtown, and many other nearby places.
  • On our way back from Alaska a few years ago, we stayed at Bow Rivers Edge campground in Cothrane. It is west of Calgary. Very quiet and nice. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
  • Unless you must be right in Calgary it would be best to stay elsewhere.
  • I have not been there, but I have an APP for that.

Gor to Google Play and search for Canada Parks

    Hope this helps.
