Besides, there aren't enuff sites to go around for the local folks in the state parks whats more for the tourists. I'm not saying stay away, just aim for the private parks 'cuz you'll probably have a better chance. I love to stay in our state parks, but don't always seem to remember to make my reservations 12 months in advance.
On the other hand, it's kinda the same way when you go to Ca, but the prices are higher at the state parks than a lot of private parks, no hook-ups, a lot of them too small for the bigger rigs and there are no sites available.
