- janstey58ExplorerX3 for Stand Rock, the local KOA is VERY tight and close spots.
- RvingMikeExplorerHave camped at the Dells many, many times at all of the campgrounds mentioned, and you won't be disappointed with any of them.

bumpy - hbillsmithExplorerWe stayed at Sherwood Forest and it was nice and walk to town close.
- MACHZERExplorerThanks for all of the reply's,
Thinking of going there beginning of August - dapperdanExplorerYou don't state when you're planning your trip. You'll have to stay at private campgrounds if your trip is during summer break as the state parks near the Dells will be booked solid.
Dan - michigansandzilExplorerX2 for Stand Rock. We stayed there for 2 nights last August. It is a very clean campground with mainly seasonal sites.
When we arrived, our site was completely covered in standing water and they told us just to pick any other site we liked and let them know. They were very accommodating.
The absolute best part was the hiking trail. You walk up a hill in the woods to an area that opens up into a forested rocky area. This was the best experience of this campground.
Also, I have to recommend taking a Duck tour while in the Dells. My kids loved it and still talk about it.
Here is a picture of my family taken at the top of the hiking trail at Stand Rock: - in5rExplorerWe have stayed at country roads rv park there the last couple times. Especially nice if you are looking for a quiet rv park. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Full hookup rates are very reasonable I thought.
