Camp Huaco Springs New Braunfels Tx Review
We spent three days on the river at Camp Huaco Springs in New Braunfels Tx. I was concerned after reading the few reviews on RV Park Review but I found it to be a pleasant, relaxing stay. The grounds are clean, well kept and well designed.
Convenient to town and San Antonio.
They cater to Class A's and are laid out to where the A's parking forward in the river front sites have the best arrangement.
Yes, there are kids playing in the river, yes the beer drinkers hoot N holler all night, yes the sites are somewhat tight, and yes, the camp restrooms were nasty but I brought my own.
The only complaint I had was they charge $33/night to park a second car. We discussed the second car when I made reservations and I was told I would not have to pay the extra due to the total head count was 4 and I park the car at my site. When I arrived I was told that was wrong and it's an extra $100 if I want to stay. Oddly enough if you arrive in a 40' A with a toad there is no charge for that.
Regardless, I shook that off and had a great time in the river.
This camp is the nicest one on River Road so it was worth the extra cost to us.
