We wouldn't think of camping without a nice fire to sit in front of at night. Here in SoCal, when there's a Red Flag fire warning, you can forget about propane fireplaces, charcoal or gas BBQs. The only allowed cooking device during a Red Flag warning is a metal gas or propane stove, and you have to sign up for a permit to use that: No Open Flames...
