Campground along PCH
We are trying to figure out where the campground is located, that runs along the Pacific Coast Highway,where the RV's park inline along the beach. It is somewhere between Santa Monica and San Francisc...

X2. We live about 2 hrs south of there. Rincon Parkway as noted above is further north in Ventura county on PCH. The other is Thornhill Broome on PCH in Malibu as also noted. Malibu is south of Ventura, maybe an hour at the most. Booth are interesting and fun from time to time but be warned if it's crowded you might not be able to get into a spot unless you're excellent at parallel parking a truck and long travel trailer.
Pros: you're right on the beach. Cons: getting into a site can be dicey. We didn't have any problem the last time we stayed at Thornhill Broom a few months ago.
You can google earth both of them and get the idea.
