- love2rvcampExplorerThere are not in campgrounds worth staying at close to Turner Field. You are goimg to have to stay at a park outside the city and drive to Turner Field. Stone Mountain is a good choice, the drive will be probably around 45 minutes depending on traffic. There are COE parks up on Lake Allatoona there ypu are looking at about 1 hour drive again depending on traffic.
There are also state parks all around but again your drive into Atlanta would be 45 to 75 minutes. - campinmomof2ExplorerThank you. My husband and son want to go to the ballgame. So, I figured maybe I could get a camping trip out of it too! Lol (Plus, I kinda like baseball.)

We are planning a trip to Atlanta to go to a Braves game. I would appreciate any recommendations for a campground near Turner Field. Thanks in advance!
Atlanta's metro sprawl precludes anything NEAR Turner's Field. Here's a list of cgs from a Woodalls search

The 2 in the area don't get very good reviews but may work for a few days: 1. Atlanta South in McDonough GA 2. Atlanta Marietta RV Resort in Marietta. you can read their reviews on www.rvparkreviews.com The one in the area that gets the best reviews is Stone Mountain Park Campground in Stone Mountain Georgia, however the roads are tight and some sites are not level.
