- We stayed at Fort Welikit just outside of Custer. https://www.blackhillsrv.com
I would stay there again it was such a great park - Custer KOA, manager and crew are nice people.

Rafter J Bar Ranch is my favorite- Last trip (2016) I stayed at Horse Thief and enjoyed our stay there. It and Rafter J Bar and both very close to the mounument. I assume you plan on doing other things as well though.
