We were just at River Plantation 2 weeks ago. Nice park. They have a Lazy Susan pool in addition to a regular pool which your kids would like. The park isn't too big that you can't walk to any part of it like some others we've been in.
The negatives include a camp store that has hardly anything in it. However there is a WalMart about a mile down the road. The second is that the wi-if is useless. Don't expect to be able to get on.
Due to the traffic, it can be hairy trying to make a left turn out of the campground to go towards Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg as there is no traffic light.
I would stay again.
