We were there in june, stayed at the St. Augustine beach KOA. We were there during the week so it was really quite. They have full hookups which I wanted. There are a LOT of campgrounds in the area. The one thing we liked was the trolly shuttle service has a hourly pick up and drop off at the campground. Just hop the bus, they drop you off a the trolly stop and you can go anywhere in the downtown. When you are done, hop the bus back to campground. They were so punctual you could set your watch by them. BTW, parking, if you can find it downtown, is rather pricy. We saved money using the trolly service.
Edit: The KOA is only a short distance from Anastasia and about 3-4 miles from downtown.
