When we visited the Badlands, we stayed at Cedar Pass campground on the east side of the national park. Having driven through the park in the afternoon, it was pleasant to stay in the park for a night, rather than facing the glare of civilization. The next morning we drove back into the park a ways to take more photos in the morning sun, contrasted with some very dark clouds.
