Campgrounds near Indianapolis, IN.

Planning a 3-day weekend trip to Indy to visit the Children's Museum and the Zoo mainly. So amenities aren't at the top of the list; yet it'd be good if the kids had someplace to play and swim.


S&H and the Indy KOA had some poor reviews; especially given the prices. Heartland was cheaper, but also seemed to have some mixed reviews.

Anybody have any personal feedback or recommendations?

  • We stayed a week at Lake Haven last Fall on the South side of Indy. Nothing great amenity-wise but safe and fairly close to what we wanted to see and do. Our write-up on the place:
