Campgrounds near Yosemite

I would not go to Yosemite Lakes again. We camped there about two weeks ago. True, it's only about five miles from the entrance, but I found the campground lacking, at least for me. The water tasted terrible, even so bad I used bottled water to drink and brush teeth. The site I was on, and another one close by were very un-level and it was very hard to level the FW. Also, this campground has memberships for the chosen but for us great un-washed, there is only one place to camp with about 30 spots. I also know this isn't a big deal, but there doesn't seem to be any cell service and wi-fi is very limited and not in the campground. Also, this was the most expensive campground we stayed in, including a resort in Palm Desert.
