Campgrounds with RV's near Yosemite Park

Hi,

I am looking for an RV campground near Yosemite Park and don't even know where to start. We don't want to be inside the park as we will be traveling with our dog and don't want to have trouble with animals inside the park. Thanks!

    Bass Lake closed?

We were at Bass Lake for Father's Day weekend -- everything seemed open and thriving to me.

Not clear when your are planning your trip to Yosemite...but if you can get reservations I second staying in the park at Wawona CG. We were there in April, with a dog too, and it was a great location. Not nearly as crowded as the valley floor, but it was nice to stay in the park vs driving 20-30min to the entrance before even making you way to the destination for the day.

x2 stayed there a few months ago very nice park but still a heck of a drive to the Village in Yosemite

  • I would look at El Portal or Midpines, CA. Check out www.rvparkreviews.com

Staying in the park with pets is not a problem if you follow the rules and common sense. Keep the pets off the trails.
