We have ideas of what we want to do, but having never been there, it's hard to determine how to best navigate the area. And everyone has a different opinion which helps, but adds to the confusion. I'm sure we'll have our own opinion after we visit.
So, you're recommending using the metro for the Smithsonians, the on/off trolley for the Mall and the bus tour from the campground to see Arlington?
