We have been camping there several times (30 min from the house). We have never had a problem with noise, the park is monitored closely for problems.
It is one of the nicest camp grounds in the state. We like Wolly Hollow state park as well.
Mather lodge restaurant is a good place to eat with a view.
Don't forget the sun set.
